Saw this on another persons journal with a request to spread it and I figured I would.
Notice: To all those who think Homophobia is wrong and want to fight for a better future for our gay and lesbian friends, please repost this into your profile:
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not
So.. I came back last year and re-uploaded all my stuff. At the time I HAD planned on doing more drawings and what not but when you have a family, work, and side projects.. there just never is any time. Sadly (or fortunately I'm still not sure) my wife packed up the kids and simply left me about a month ago now.
On that note.. I've kinda started drawing again. Hopefully for my 3 watchers I'll have something to show soon. That is of course if this under used expensive relic of an art pencil still works.
I can't believe it's been nearly 5 years since I've even visited this website.
Ha!
It's amazing how much things change over the years... Now I have a wife and 2 little ones... Currently looking for work... and still no time to draw anything ever.
For whatever reason I deleted all my uploads from my profile years ago.. but got them all re uploaded. I do have a few more to upload but wouldn't you know it... my scanner is at my mother-in-laws... so I still have some no scanner woes.
Not everything changes I guess
heh.
I hope you know gay rights isn't why I faved that poem. I do support gay rights... and rights of groups most don't even know exist yet...
I faved the poem because never has a simple title completely captured me... and the overall message (gay rights and everything else left unsaid) was real powerful as a whole.
And speaking of which... where are the posters? Didn't see anything in your galley that stood out as "posters"
I know gay rights isn't why you faved that poem. I was referring to your most recent journal post - since you had that up, I thought you'd like the posters as well.
Oh, sorry, I called them posters because I kind of designed them like that, they aren't named "poster" or anything. They're called "Happy Ending." There's a version 1 and a version 2.
